Mike leads Bode Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LabCorp, an industry leader in providing services and products to the forensic community. Bode provides a comprehensive set of state-of-the-art forensic DNA collection products, analysis services, and research services to law enforcement, justice system, and other government agencies around the world. Operating one of the most internationally respected private DNA laboratories, Bode's forensic DNA experts have assisted in identifying criminals in every state in the United States, and played a key role in the exoneration of numerous individuals. Bode provides immigration and paternity testing worldwide. Bode has also been instrumental in the identification of victims of natural disasters, war, crime, and terrorism, including the attack on the World Trade Center.

As CEO and President, Mike had overall responsibility for managing P&L and providing strategic oversight of the company. During this time, Bode experienced broad-based revenue growth in excess of 40% while reducing overall expenses. Notable successes included securing a large IDIQ contract to provide forensic support services to the federal government, expanding its core forensic casework operations and increasing market share of its DNA collection products line.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Cariola maintained responsibility for the operational leadership of Bode's forensic operations, products, software, and consulting services. This includes leading a multi-laboratory system that consists of Bode's ISO 17025 accredited forensics facility in Virginia and ISO 17025 and AABB accredited relationship testing laboratory in Arizona. In addition to ensuring the quality and reliability of services provided to clients worldwide, Mr. Cariola has driven growth through the oversight of Bode's federal business development efforts, active R&D programs, and software and product development.

Mr. Cariola has held a variety of progressively responsible positions with Bode, including Senior Vice President, Director of Operations and Laboratory Director. While serving as laboratory director, he was primarily involved with Bode's forensic casework and databasing activities. During this time, Bode successfully assisted numerous crime laboratories in the elimination of backlogs and Mr. Cariola helped launch several new services and products, implementing new technologies to increase quality, efficiency and effectiveness in the laboratory. These have become the cornerstones of Bode's international offerings and are a significant driver of company growth.

The American Investigative Society of Cold Cases is a non-profit, volunteer based organization of professional investigators whose sole mission is to assist in solving cold cases. We will use crime scene reconstruction, crime scene assessments, inductive/deductive criminal profiling and reasoning in order to find a resolution to the cold case. We will give advice on what we think should be done, what can be done and what needs to be done. At the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory, Mike supervised the quality control section. This included synthesis of mitochondrial DNA primers, QC testing and inventory management. As an analyst, Mike processed skeletal remains that assisted in the identification of missing persons from past conflicts. The mission of AFDIL is to provide worldwide scientific consultation, research and education services in the field of forensic DNA analysis to the Department of Defense and other agencies.
