As the Director of Production, Mike is responsible for all new business production from the various teams within the company. Mike operates in a leadership capacity to drive new business growth for Apogee by working with the sales team (Wayne, Chicago & Austin), the 3,000+ retail agents and senior leadership at 40+ insurance carriers to create an efficient and effective process to benefit all parties. His position requires knowledge of the overall marketplace, industry trends and the ever changing needs of insureds, retailers and carriers. This requires the ability to institute organizational change to take advantage of opportunities presenting themselves on a daily basis.As a means of staying current with market trends and the constantly changing landscape of the marketplace Mike continues to handle complex accounts in addition to his leadership role. He reviews each submission to make sure the right account manager is working on the account giving the agent and insured the best chance possible of obtaining coverage. Internally, Mike acts as the product advocate for Technology E&O and Cyber liability. Externally, this expertise in Technology E&O and Cyber liability has allowed him to work with carriers to expand their offerings and further the growth of the product as a whole.
