As the Head of Information Technology, I report directly to the Managing Director and serve on the Executive Team, responsible for overseeing infrastructure, security, data analytics, training, ERP and the web application development teams. In 2018 TW Metals Ltd acquired Locate Supplies Ltd, a metals and plastics distributor headquartered in Scunthorpe, UK.As European Head of IT for TW Metals, all infrastructure, networks, telephony and future developments were placed under my control.Throughout 2019 TW have invested heavily in Locate upgrading systems including;• Full Hardware refresh including all desktops, screens, network switches and printers.• Migrate phone system to Teams• Moved onto the TW Europe SD-WAN.• Connect warehouses correctly using fiber, not x20 CAT5 cables over 100M run.• Migrated all users to Office 365 environment.• Added both sites to Cisco Umbrella. • Creation of a new Intranet site.• Moved to cloud based analytics platform.• Added both sites to the IT help desk system, Manage Engine (Including remote desktop) .• Managed all aspects of IT in the build of a new warehouse, and the transition of moving.• Digitization of documents.In 2020 we have opened the Locate brand in the Southampton.

As IT Manager of TJ Morris, reporting to the IT Director I was responsible for managing, planning, supporting and implementing all aspects of IT for the newly built 1.2 million square foot 24x7 Southern Distribution centre in Wiltshire. The site was a new build with no IT infrastructure. As the first employee on site I was responsible for managing several projects using external vendor teams to install;· 2 server rooms, 31 comms cabs with rack mounted UPS· Fibre network with cat 6 cabling to 1700 data points· Wi-Fi network across 50 POE access points· 750+ CCTV IP POE cameras· Avaya VOIP telephone systemOther projects;· Upgrade the IBMi power 7 to Power 8 with V7000 disks, v7.1 to v7.3· User setup (400 users on site)· Attend internal continuous improvement meetings and quarterly meetings with our WM6 suppliers.· Manage team development, appraisals and ensuring PDP and training requirements are followed.· Scheduling of work for all IT team (Helpdesk/Support/Development/Infrastructure/EPOS engineers)· Hands-on support and management of IBMi Power Systems (iseries / AS400) · EPOS support and supply of spares to 170 stores.· Design/install multiple visualization screens (Bin storage, KPI, connection to priority servers and cabs)· Introduction/Design of fire evacuation system (door release/email report/highlight missing staff)· Upgrade voice picking system to allow larger pick qty.· Created application to allow Management access to reset passwords.

This role was a senior permanent role based within the EDI department, heading all IT development which due to the nature of EDI included heavy data analysis.• Lead developer on all EDI systems, requirement gathering with external brokers, data analysis, creation of specifications, development, UAT and implementation.• Analysis and documentation of EDI address mapping software, converting from NAMES to ULTRA software package.

This role was a permanent role based in Oxford with extensive travel to Belgium, France and Greece converting requirements into specifications.• Investigate, analyse and provide solutions for all European sites, mainly Belgium and France.• Major changes to order entry (LANSA/RPG).• Designed, implemented and supported data upload system for Greece office

This role was a contract programming role, with a lot of requirement gathering and peer reviewing other solutions to check the best solution was provided by two junior programmers.• Researched, designed & implemented a data archive/restore system.• Created company standards for subfile & window programming.• Trained and assisted six junior programmers with coding techniques and assistance with documentation and solutions.Reason for leaving : End of contract
