I have spent nearly thirty years working in a variety of workplaces always with a focus on developing the quality of working relationships, which I consider to be the fundamental building block of organizational performance in the type of economy we have been in for quite some time.Currently I serve as an advisor and council to CEO's and Executives of mid-size businesses in the Northwest Washington area. My passion is community based learning. I believe that over time business owners and executives develop both considerable knowledge of business and at the same time blind spots regarding the resolution of their own issues. When leaders with similar business concerns can get together in environments of mutual trust and commitment to each other's success the product is an environment that is unlike any other available to them. This environment allows everyone present to give their best without constraint as well as receive keenly observed counsel on thorny issues from colleagues committed to their best interest. Powerful stuff indeed!I am also an active contributor to the Bellingham Business Journal an author and educator having written and published one book, THRIVE: Standing on Your Own Two Feet in a Borderless World, as well as publishing over 40 articles in a variety of professional journals and business publications. Past educational experiences have included guest lecturing at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle and serving as adjunct faculty at St. John Fisher College in Rochester,NY and Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA where I currently teach Managing Organizations and People in the MBA Program.Specialties: Adviser to small and medium size business leaders, owners and entrepreneurs on all things organizational. One on one coach, with a punch!
