In late 2019 I followed my intuition to ask a friend if I could narrate his latest book on (guess what?) intuition. That decision marked the start of my journey into audiobook narration. Work experience – and then a short period of helping out with the station's "Sport on Saturday" programme – led to me being offered my first job, straight out of school. At just 17, I found myself working at Pebble Mill for BBC Radio WM, driving studio programmes for local legends, Tony Butler and Ed Doolan, among others. This is also where I learned to edit (on ¼" tape), and cut my teeth as a promo producer and promo voice.
