As an Owner’s Representative, Michael was engaged in the construction of two Wind farms - 100 2.3MW GE turbines (230MW/~$377M each) representing the owner throughout the entire construction process. He worked as an owner’s liaison at key meetings, with contractors, landowners and local authorities to facilitate issue resolution and problem solving as well as supervised and monitored the project safety, schedule, budget, and prioritization of activities and communicated effectively weekly and monthly reports to all levels of management.In addition, Michael audited QA/QC procedures to fulfill compliance with sensitive schedule constraints and company’s standards and practices. He efficiently utilized standard operating procedures and safety protocols; i.e., safety stand down due to component failures, resulting in no personal injuries. He has successfully negotiated a resolution and saved the contractor a significant amount of money and eliminated change orders.Michael has proficiently analyzed technical contract, Balance of Plant (BOP) and Turbine Supplier Agreement (TSA). He gained success in alleviating contractor’s change order submittals and contributed to owner’s cost saving. Also, effectively resolved landowner issues and acted as client’s representative for compliance with network design standards. He delivered “on-going” value engineering of the project to identify potential cost savings and eliminate project delays.
