Michael decided to start his own business providing technology management services for small to medium sized businesses after a ten year + career in Information Technology with several fortune 500 companies. Mike has worked for Pacific Gas & Electric, IBM, Gencell (Aventis Pharmaceuticals), and served as the IT Manager for Northern California with National City Mortgage’s – Wholesale Division. Having a broad background in different vertical markets allowed Mike to realize his potential in supporting the needs of business owners through what he refers to as the “Information Backbone” to the business environment. The first start-up, TechPro Source, LLC, began operation in June 2006. The company’s slogan is “You’re Plug-In to Small Business Technology”, but often advertises as “The IT Department for Small Business.”In October 2006, Mike completed the purchase of Network Solutions shortly after developing his own business plan. TechPro Source received the Business of the Year Award in 2010 and the Spirit of Solano Award after 5 years in business. Served on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield Suisun City Chamber. Mike dissolved TechPro Source, LLC in order to create Aether Technology. The reason for the change was multi-faceted. "I attained foresight into the advent of the cloud. I felt that the relevance of TechPro Source would be diminished with the onset of the "Chasm of Adoption" currently underway, and planned to redesign the business model to fit in line with more self service support, mobile centric adoption, and ubiquitous computing.
