Mike was responsible for the visualisation team capability, supporting customers with strategic planning on how to adopt these technologies. Collaborating with other BMT capabilities, into UK MOD and Government departments to support projects with Human Factors, Machine Learning and Data Science applications, looking at the best ways of combining these capabilities. Mike uses his domain experience to support industry working groups, looking at tackling the challenges of XR technology adoption in the training domain.In 2020 Mike led the creation of BMT’s innovation LAB initiative and provided his creative and technical management experience to support the innovation ideas through the product development process. This work is fundamental to the future company growth and financial position.Key Achievements:• Conceptualised, designed and managed the development of BMT’s ENGAGE immersive training platform. This was recognised by winning the BMT award for innovation in 2016.• Directed and produced over 50 VR and AR experiences, 360 videos and R&D projects.• Directed and planned all trade show events, tech demos, stand design (ITEC, IITSEC, VR World Congress)• Developed the winning bid to BAE Systems to provide the first million-pound immersive training solution for the UK’s largest warships. Mike managed the bid through to delivery, customer and stakeholder engagement, technical team management and on-site installation to the customers training centre. • Created the vision for a fresh outward facing new brand known as “BMT Reality Studios”. This brand delivered a demonstrable change to our market position, bringing in new customers outside of the typical channels. It also attracted new important talent to the various capability teams who would not have considered BMT beforehand.• Directed technical teams to create development processes, dev and art pipelines and tools to achieve maximum efficiently and quality.

TWM is a Learning and Development platform provider. They deliver organisational improvement solutions, based on a Software as a Service (SAAS) model, through bespoke learning academies. TWM clients include O2, Sainsbury’s, Bentley Motors and L&G.Mike joined TWM in the start-up phase as employee number 4, taking up position as CTO and shareholder. Mike quickly laid out the vision for the company’s original portal platform technology. Mike’s key responsibilities were creating a vision for the company’s technical product and services, IT security and to set up and lead multiple development teams in the UK and aboard.Key Achievements:• Designed and managed the development of 2 core versions of the company’s portal technology• Created and directed multiple development teams in the UK and India.• Developed the processes for managing projects, estimations, specifications and scheduling the developer’s time. • Reported to the board of directors on the vision of the company from a technology strategy viewpoint.• Created and managed a project team to handle custom API integration to over 50 applications including 3rd party platforms.• Supported and managed the creation of our IT Security policy, BCDR and business critical security procedures
