About Mike Cripps

I am a Senior Engineer with extensive experience developing software for the Financial Services, Cloud and Gambling industries. I am fluent in Functional Programming concepts in Scala, but have also written Go and Java for production services.I have had the good fortune to work in teams of varying sizes, from small 4-person companies to tens-of-thousand strong behemoths, and everything in between. I've been a People Manager for an engineering team and I've been an Individual Contributor. I've worked on features and products with thousands of users and I'm equally at home working on Developer Experience tools that 20 engineers will use daily.At the same time, I am strongly driven by a desire for automation and rigor in Software Engineering practices, and I look for ways to make the teams I work with more efficient by removing manual toil or error-prone process.I'm always looking for a technical challenge, and am looking to bring my experience and skills to bear on real world problems.
