Monitor, plan and implement all UAW skilled trade operations within the plant associated with building maintenance and facilities. Also responsible for new product launch/construction management within the plant. Oversee all Building Maintenance and Facilities Operations within the Sterling Heights Axle Plant for Ford Motor Company. Monitored all aspects and operations of three million plus square foot facility. Including and not limited to facility HVAC systems, plant wide upgrades to Dock Doors and Rapid Roll up Door Systems, Restroom Upgrades, Cooling Tower Upgrades/Installations, Rail Road Upgrades and widespread construction projects. Day to day managed Plant Wide Facility PM’s, Maximo Work Order Ticket Systems and all plant based needs. Monitor and ensure safety of all skilled trade operations within the plant associated with new product construction/launch and building maintenance and facilities. Plan all aspects of a new model launch construction projects from quoting project financials, determine manpower needs, material requests and safety protocol. Work as a team with different vendors, engineers, hourly/salary employees, skilled trades and production personnel in planning and preparing construction layouts to ensure accuracy and quality which meets all required standards. Work with plant development organizations to aid, assist and evaluate skilled trade apprentice programs as direct supervisor of employees. Actively engage with all skilled trade members within a variety of activities using a wide range of machinery, materials and produce safe operating standards (PTAS) Pre Task Analysis. Continuously plan day to day operations to ensure safe productivity of skilled trades and meet deadlines desired by plant production expectations.
