A key member of the business unit executive team and deputised for the MD in their absence.

Joined Greencore in September 2008 as a Financial Controller and within 9 months was promoted to Site Financial Controller and Head of Business Partnering in June 2009 during a restructure. I was responsible for leading the site Finance function, consisting of 8 people and played a key role in the Site Executive Management Team for a large chilled ready meal manufacturer, which went from loss making in 2008 to significant return on sales in 2011. Provided commercial and supply chain decision support, deputised for the Site Director and was responsible for delivering £16m of up-front cash for the site / rest of the Group from one of its major customers at half year and year ends.

Responsible for leading a finance team of 3, reporting directly to the CEO for a privately owned, topflight professional Rugby League Club with a turnover of £6m. The business was turned around from loss making to break even within 2 years. Managed all aspects of the finance function, solely re-financed the businesses £1m of borrowings, introduced systems and a robust control environment which were previously non-existent and played a key commercial role in the business.
