Responsible for the provision of technical support for the roll-out of the nbn network to premises that are difficult to serve. Includes the management of both onshore and offshore technical teams as well as accountability for the development of the supporting IT systems.

nbn (the company) was established on 9 April, 2009 to design, build and operate Australia's new broadband network - the largest technology program the country has ever seen. nbn is a wholly-owned Commonwealth company - a Government Business Enterprise. The product life cycle team is focused on the health and enhancement of nbn products in the market. The team brings a bottom up financial, commercial and operational view to inform strategic road-maps as well as tactical investments. Current role is focused on the consumer market ensuring that the ever changing needs of this segment are understood and served.

Broadcast Australia (a company owned by the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board) employs around 450 staff and owns and operates one of the largest broadcast transmission networks in the world providing services to both the ABC and SBS. In mid 2012 the Department of Communications appointed Broadcast Australia as the program implementation manager for the clearance of the 700MHz Digital Dividend spectrum. As General Manager of the Spectrum Restack Group reporting to the COO, and responsible to the Department of Communications, I provided leadership to a self-contained team of 30 professionals in completing this $100 million project ahead of schedule and below budget.

Targeting business growth initiatives I was responsible for the development of Broadcast Australia's business internationally, with a focus on Asia. My work was primarily focused on the implementation of digital terrestrial television systems. This involved a significant element of business planning and consulting throughout Asia and the management of multiple strategic initiatives interacting with a diverse set of partners and prospective partners.

Radio Frequency Systems, an Alcatel Lucent company, is a manufacturer of passive RF products for the telecommunications and broadcast industries with around 1,500 employees. RFS is represented on six continents, with ten manufacturing centres-of-excellence (Germany, France, US, Brazil, Russia, China, Denmark, Mexico and Australia) and 36 technical support and sales offices. RFS has a turnover of around Euro 400 million pa. Reporting to the President Asia Pacific in a matrix structure, my role was to guide the product development, sales and marketing of the broadcast products globally and to take responsibility for the profitability of three manufacturing units.
