Responsible for a variety of elements in this job, including:* Managing corporate communication strategy for large public events. This included defining event tracks, goals, and success metrics; aligning individual messages with overall corporate strategy; and specifically examining cybersecurity messaging to verify both accuracy and appropriate disclosure.* Keynote development. I developed key messaging for numerous launch events and keynote speeches, technology demonstrations, and press releases. This included script writing and coaching executives, developing slides and videos, and designing and performing demonstrations. Keynotes I created included the Windows 7 and Windows Vista product launches.

Managing Xbox Live, one of the largest cloud services in the world. My role involved:• Achieving 99.999% uptime while supporting one million concurrent connections and well over 10 million service subscriptions• Delivering monthly rolling cloud service upgrades without breaking the service level commitment to our customers• Planning architecture and change controls to prevent cyber security incidents• Managing multiple incident response teams to identify, address, and remediate security breaches. As a result, no successful breaches occurred during this time period.• Building and deploying multiple new Microsoft data centers to accommodate an increasing demand while enhancing service availability and resilience against cyber attacks• Managing a budget to increase net profit while spending on both current and forecasted demands

Development Manager leading a group of security professionals in envisioning, developing, and releasing world-class security tools and guidance. This position required people and process management skills including budget, timeline, and milestone management. My scope of management included direct employees, subordinate managers, and international contractor staff. My role also involved interfacing with various levels of management across the organization and directly with customers.

Created and delivered advanced technical training to audiences all over the world. Training included Windows NT, Windows 2000, SQL Server, SMS Server, and Operating System Security. My special interest was security, as I delivered a four-day advanced class on Windows 2000 security that included network analysis of Kerberos, IPSec, and SSL.
