Championed the adoption of better agile development practices, entire team became co-located in San Diego, and productivity was substantially increased.Pitched and led engineering effort to replace home-grown web application framework with Spring MVC due to lack of resources and support for maintaining said framework. Introduced Twitter Bootstrap and JQuery to replace custom CSS and JS solutions and to facilitate consistent behavior and easy skinning of all ACTIVE properties with one customized Bootstrap. Both initiatives vastly improved developer productivity, ramp-up time for new hires, and made it possible to deliver on aggressive deadlines.Collaborated with senior architects on a caching solution doubling throughput to 5K transactions / sec.
