Mike DeSantis is a fraud controls executive with extensive experience and demonstrated ability to develop a strong fraud prevention and detection practice in a Fortune 30 company. Mike’s drive led him to spearhead the development of the fraud prevention and investigation unit at Procter & Gamble (the world’s largest consumer products company). He has led hundreds of investigations dealing with purchasing, promotion funding, marketing, advertising, and manufacturing, working not only internal issues but also concerns related to contracted suppliers/vendors/customers. A skilled interviewer, he was instrumental in developing standardized approaches to investigation practices across a global organization. He was publicly recognized by the company for his abilities in the area of controls and fraud. While he was instrumental in uncovering and dealing with many control issues, perhaps his most telling accomplishment was discovering key controls shortfalls that compromised the effectiveness and profitability of company initiatives worth tens of millions of dollars.Mike has an undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from Columbia University and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He won the IIA’s prestigious William S. Smith award for having one of the highest test scores in the world on the Certified Internal Auditor examination.
