In 2017 I have decided to continue my career as a freelance event manager under the name 'De Eventarchitect' where with I accept all event challenges (interim, freelance, advise).In 2018 I started a second company named 'Naval Events' an end-to-end event planning service for Super Yacht companies.My experience is gathered after 8,5 year as project manager in (extremely) high-end corporate events for Select Catering .I am a bachelor degreed all-round event & project manager with many F&B and Event management experiences. My specialities are planning and preparations of events, but also a reliable partner on site.You are more then welcome to contact me: +31 6 418 415 77----A hospitality fanatic that’s working for almost 15 years in the high-end hospitality industryand also has an educational background in this matter.I started the study of Hotel Management (secondary vocational education) in 2002, followedby an international hospitality management (BA) study in England (Eastbourne) at the Universityof Brighton until 2008.In 2005 I moved for an internship to France too work for two difference five star hotels, the first six months in Paris, followed by six months in Nice (Cote d’Azur). In 2007 I moved to England for my Bachelor degree. During my stay in England i also worked during the nights and weekends for one of the best bars in the South of England. In 2008 I came back to The Netherlands with my degree and started working for Select Catering, the best catering company of the Netherlands that works along with all the Michelin star restaurants. Besides my working experience I also ran an agency for bookings of Hospitality Specialists since 2009 (for example: the Dutch flairbartending champions and Holland’s best mixologist). Also I was the co-owner of HG Imports who are the importers of Autentico Alacrán Tequila & Mezcal.

The company is started by Melkon Migdesyan and me (Mike de Vries). Autentico Alacrán Tequila and Autentico Alacrán Mezcal are the brands that HGImports represents. Autentico Alacrán Tequila Blanco is made of 100% (7 years old) blue agave and is presented in a black matte bottle. Alacrán Tequila uses a selective column distillation process, which allows the makers to choose and precisely determine the tequila they want, highlighting its pure taste and fair aroma. Autentico Alacrán Tequila Reposado is made of 100% (7 to 10 years old) blue agave and is presented in clear bottle. Alacrán uses a multiple distillation and age their tequila for 4 months in American oak barrels. Bright and shiny golden hues, a fresh agave, caramel and vanilla nose, sweet with a soft bourbon finish.Autentico Alacrán Tequila Cristalino (Añejo) is made of 100% (7 to 10 years old) blue agave and is presented in clear bottle. Alacrán uses a multiple distillation and age this tequila for 14 months in American oak barrels and clarified naturally through an exclusive process. Blanco look with an añejo taste. Caramel, vanilla, cooked agave and dry fruits on the nose, sweet and delicate with a dry wood finish.Autentico Alacrán Mezcal is made of 100% (8 years old) Espadin agave and is presented in a white matte bottle. I started at the floor with serving drinks and learning about cocktails and mixers. After a couple of weeks they gave me the chance to prepare and create cocktails myself, so I became bartender. Monthly the Loft Lounge provides training to the staff of well known names in the hospitality where they teach you everything about ingredients of drinks up to serving with flair and tricks but also a course of up-selling drinks for higher bar revenue. This was an instructive year and good experience!

Toen ik hier begon deden wij slechts kleinere "evenementen" voornamelijk bij mensen thuis en privé kringen. Hoogstaande kwaliteit eten en persoonlijke service stonden voorop! Na verloop van tijd werd Van Dam catering prevert suplier van het Tuschinski theater Amsterdam. Door het verzorgen van de catering op de vele film premières in de diverse Pathé's maakte Van Dam catering een snelle groei mee.
