I am promoted to the highest academic rank based on what I have accomplished as a teacher, researcher, mentor, and leader at the University of Portland's Pamplin Jr. School of Business. OTM major was born in fall 2008 (160+ graduates working as business professionals) and followed by Master of Science in OTM degree starting at fall 2014 (starting with 2 students growing up to 22+ students in fall 2017). AIS SIGLEAD group has been leading the initiative of bridging the academia and practitioners in the field of IS through various venues. School of Business has gained great amount of visibility locally, regionally, and now globally.

I am awarded with 'distinguished' professorship based on my accomplishment in teaching, scholarship, and service, especially developing and managing undergraduate Operations & Technology Management (OTM) major, a hybrid major of IS and Operations Mgmt, actively collaborating with local business community for visibility, placement, scholarship, and research projects at the University of Portland's Pamplin Jr. School of Business.

I lead SIGLEAD (Special Interest Group in IS Leadership), a group of researchers whose research interests are in IS leadership, IS professional development, IS consulting, etc. in Association for Information Systems (AIS). The group features 80+ researchers globally and aims to produce leading-edge quality research in collaboration with IS executives/professionals that contribute to academia and IS practice. The group's work has been featured through major academic conferences, workshop, academic and practitioners' journals.

As a doctoral student, I worked as a sole instructor with full liberty in developing the course, preparing materials, grading, and advising students in courses covering introduction to MIS, DB, and Macroeconomics at both undergraduate and master's levels. Before working as an instructor, I worked as a teaching assistant helping faculty members teaching various IS courses (introduction to MIS, DB, Systems Analysis & Design, Consumer Behaviors, VBA, Leadership) by grading, running lab sessions, filling in as guest lecturer to be prepared to become a faculty upon receiving Ph.D.
