1990 – 2005 – Local Product Manager, European Product Manager & Marketing DirectorProduct Manager within MEMEC from 1990-2005 when made redundant following the acquisition of MEMEC by the AVNET Group. During this period had responsibility for many MAJOR LINES:- Intel, International Rectifier, Linear Technology and Cypress Semiconductors to name a few. One of many successes during that time was with Cypress Semiconductor which we grew from a start up line within MEMEC to £12M sales per annum and No1 in the distribution network. As Intel Product Manager we again grew the line within three years to be No1 in the distribution network and my team was recognized as Intel’s “demand creator of choice”.During the period with MEMEC was seconded to perform the role of European Product Manager for both Cypress and Intel. This involved the co-ordination of European marketing programmes and also to ensure the continuity and growth of the relationship with both companies.1985 -1990 – Area Sales ManagerBetween 1985 and 1990 - Area Sales Manager responsible to the Managing Director and covering initially the Home Counties but later the Midlands also.
