Mike Forester is a partner at CrossCheck Compliance, a regulatory compliance, internal audit, fair lending, litigation support, due diligence and loan review firm serving financial institutions. Mike has spent over 45 years in the mortgage and financial services industries. Prior to co-founding CrossCheck, he was associated with The Prieston Group, a firm he helped launch, which provides fraud prevention and indemnification services to the mortgage industry. Previously, Mike spent 16 years with Household International (now HSBC), where he served in several executive roles, including national sales director of the correspondent mortgage business and chief financial officer of the consumer finance business, Household Finance. Mike began his professional career with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young and is a certified public accountant. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has an MBA degree from the University of Chicago. Mike currently serves on the Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Risk Committee of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association. In the past he has served on the board and executive committee of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association, on the Nonconforming Credit Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, and the Production Committee of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association (WMBA).
