After over forty years in employee benefits and human resource consulting, I decided to shift gears and pursue projects and activities that will continue to impact people in the areas that are of the most interest to me. I have written a book on mentoring, Lifelong Mentorship – Touching All the Bases, that describes my youth growing up in a professional baseball family and how it influenced my business life to be mentored and to mentor others. I co-founded Msq Advisory to assist new entrants into the employer provided benefit arena. I am continuing my commitment to youth mentoring with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire. The workforce is changing, and employers are looking for ways to address the needs of their employees in order to attract, retain and engage the best and the brightest. This includes ideas that will provide the workforce with a culture that promotes mentoring which everyone recognizes has become harder to achieve. It also includes new innovative approaches to employee benefits to address the evolving needs of their employees. The stories and knowledge in Lifelong Mentorship — Touching All the Bases and my efforts with new innovative solutions through Msq Advisory are ways that I am working to address both of these needs. The Los Angeles Business Journal honored me with being one of the 500 Most Influential Business People in Los Angeles in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. I hope you’ll honor me by checking out the book (available soon), donating to your local Big Brothers Big Sisters and, if you need us, contacting Msq Advisory.
