Worked on Roblox Studio and the platform/game engine which is used by millions of young developers who are making virtual experiences (mostly games) shared by hundreds of millions of children. Lead development efforts that protect game developers from malicious content creators and build trust in the creator marketplace ecosystem. Architected a transacted undo/redo API for new Package based collaboration. Designed and implemented script file sync feature. Conducted hundreds of interviews of various types: Coding, System Design, and Values and Problem Solving. Promoted from Senior Software Engineer to Principal Software Engineer in mid 2020. In Office pre-pandemic. Went out-of-state remote in October of 2020.

Software Engineer in the Geo Data Platform team - built and maintained an internally used web service and the tools used by thousands of contractors world wide to curate, verify, analyze, and train ML for updating Google Maps data. Responsibilities included being in an on-call rotation to keep the service running when outages happened, prioritizing and fixing bugs, and developing, testing, and releasing key deliverables. Interviewed software engineering candidates all 4 years - roughly 2 per week on average for Coding and Algorithms, up to 6 per day at on-campus college recruiting. Hired and mentored 2 interns.

Responsible for design and development of new core component of the next generation mapping platform and services for fleet management, routing, and delivery scheduling named Telogis Sites. Sites was featured in the keynote of the Telogis Latitude conference in 2014. Pushed for patent on the design of novel routing approach merging custom approaches and departures. Created working full platform stack in a single VM from operations procedures to enable all Fleet engineers to efficiently debug against local production instances for full feature integration. Managed large branch merges (hundreds of files over months of changes) with minimal breaks.

Developed InfiniBand diagramming package, CAD Tooling for hardware schematics, GPGPU execution tools, and cross-platform IDE for OpenCL. Produced GPGPU marketing material, gave talks about practical software performance comparisons between different companies' GPU systems, and represented Microway at several HPTC and GPU trade shows.

Designed and implemented features of PowerPoint for 5 years, and Office Graphics for 3 years. Features implemented included PowerPoint Presenter View, Slide Show Ink Integration, PowerPoint Notes text editor and Outline text editor, the Selection and Visibility Pane (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), PowerPoint Table Styles engine (and UI), Custom Animation and Multimedia UI, and Picture Editing engine and UI in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 2010 (Artistic Effects, new Color corrections, Sharpening, etc, etc). Pushed to patent work on image pipeline experience design. Wrote technical blog. Spoke with customers at Microsoft MVP conference. Recruited and interviewed intern candidates at college career fairs.
