Recruited to professionalize and scale a world-class software development organization from its previously ad hoc, chronically late state. Working with an inexperienced but enthusiastic team, established and/or revamped all aspects of the software-development lifecycle. Reported to the Vice President of Product Development.

ad P&L responsibility over a 40–person consulting group. Responsible for all aspects of delivering on client engagement — from business development to integration and testing of completed systems. Was typically the technical and analytic expert for decision-support and data-warehousing engagements.

Oversaw the technical product vision of the JRules Business Rules Management System, the recognized leader in enterprise business-rule management systems. Liaised with all major domestic JRules customers to understand their needs, observe and disseminate best practices, validate market requirements, and design cutting-edge product enhancements. Worked with many marquee clients — including eBay, Equifax, Goldman Sachs, Freddie Mac, Morgan Stanley, Visa USA, and Travelers. ILOG was acquired by IBM in 2009.

Served in a variety of IT-related jobs. Hand picked to serve as the technology advisor on the admiral’s staff that administers all reserve assets in the mid-Atlantic — including ten reserve centers and thousands of Sailors.

Served a the Damage Control Assistant onboard USS Deyo (DD989). Directly managed 45 men in the operation and maintenance of millions of dollars worth of shipboard casualty control and survivability equipment. Awarded a Navy Achievement Medal for extraordinary actions during a major shipboard fire while operating in support of Operations Desert Storm and Provide Comfort.
