Members of the CD team also maintain stewardship of the north’s publicly funded vaccine supply (worth over $10 million annually); oversee immunization, low-barrier screening, case detection and follow-up, contact and outbreak management, program and policy development; and participate in education, research and evaluation, and health promotion activities.

The British Columbia School Trustees Association (BCSTA) serves and supports BC’s boards of public education through Professional Development, Advocacy, and Legal Services.I oversaw all aspects of BCSTA’s technologies including networks, in-house servers, computers, telecommunications, and back-up & security. I also supported the work of various BCSTA committees & branches, including the Aboriginal Education Committee, the Student Citizenship Scholarship Committee, and the Northern Interior & South Coast Branches.• I transitioned BCSTA from fax- to Internet-based event registrations by researching options and implementing and customizing gomembers Association Management System (membertrak, meetingtrak, etrak). This suite provided contact and event management, and online registration capabilities via BCSTA's own servers from 2008-2017.• Taking advantage of the capabilities of gomembers, I conceived the process and led the team that developed a custom system to automatically update contact information on the email server (Active Directory or AD) which imported information from the gomembers database every 15 minutes. As a result, the information was securely available to staff via MS Outlook, an Intranet Contacts webpage, and smartphones and tablets. All AD email distribution groups (through Outlook or GroupMail), LISTSERV groups, and the EduCal website were also automatically updated via this process.• I conceived the process and led the team that developed EduCal, BC's K-12 Education Partners Group calendar.• I researched options and selected a replacement telecommunications system, adding: direct in-dial lines for staff, line twinning with cell phones, voice mail to email, DECT wireless handsets, and integration with the email server for contact searching.• I led the team that developed a custom barcode scanning system for BCSTA event check-in. Barcode scanning improved the speed and accuracy of the check-in process and subsequent reporting.
