Climber
CurrentOn the 6 June 2020 Mike Gerrish, Simon Shepherd and Jake Gerrish (The KILI BILL Three) will be attempting to climb Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world!Kilimanjaro sits in the east African country of Tanzania and is 5,895m [19,341ft] high (Everest is 8,848m [29,029ft] high). We are funding all expenses for the trip ourselves so any sponsorship money goes directly to Dementia UK.Dementia is a disease that has affected close family members of all three of us (Mike's mother/Jake's grandmother, Helen Gerrish and Simon's father, Don Shepherd). So undoubtedly all three of us will be thinking of them as we make our way up the mountain. Another person who will also be in our thoughts, especially for Simon will be Gill Shepherd, Simon's mum, who sadly passed away last year. Gill was one of life's great adventurers and during her life travelled to many corners of the world. She would have loved the thought of us having a crack at this!Of course we are also doing this for ourselves, we hope that this will be an adventure that we share, enjoy and remember forever. SponsorshipObviously we are hoping to raise as much money as we can and we are sure friends and family won't let us down.We are however also looking for corporate sponsorship. We will be getting Team T-shirts printed which will have space for company logos. In the run up to the climb we will be publishing various publicity shots (Facebook / LinkedIn etc..) in order to raise more money for Dementia UK. During this time we will be thanking companies who have directly sponsored us.We also hope to document and publish the trip, complete with us all wearing logo emblazoned team t-shirts (where practical) and also get some photos at the Summit. If you are a company and would like to be a part of this journey (and get your logo on the shirt) please let us know by contacting us at the following email address:sponsor@the-kili-bill-three.co.uk
