Mike joined Spacesaver Corporation in June of 2010 as Vice President of Human Resources. He was later selected to lead all manufacturing operations as well. Key accomplishments include:Led the development and transformation of corporate culture to a more innovative, agile and high-performance organization. Key metrics established in areas of Credibility, Fairness, Respect, Camaraderie and Pride; Shown improvement in 72% of areas measured. Was a key leader in the design and delivery of corporate strategic planning. Introduced and facilitated our strategic planning and deployment. Focused on resource alignment from the production floor to the board room while building trust and increasing accountability through clearly established goals, metrics and communication.Transitioned HR’s focus to value-added, strategic activities like: top talent acquisition and development, employee and management coaching, and performance management. Implemented a fully automated and paperless HR organization. Orchestrated the shift from 70% transactional activities to 60% value added services. Mike held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Runzheimer International for 9 years. Under Mike’s leadership, Runzheimer was named as one of the top 25 Small Companies to work for in America in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 as well as being recognized at the Excellence level through the Wisconsin Forward Award.Prior to joining Runzheimer, Mike served as Director of Human Resources at PCI Energy Services in Lake Bluff, IL. He spent the first 18 years of his career working for Commonwealth Edison Company where he held management positions in Records and Information Management, Management Information Systems and Human Resources. Mike holds a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a major in Business Management. He also holds a Sr. Human Resource Professional SPHR certification and has served as a Board of Examiner for the Wisconsin Forward Award. Mike was selected to the University of Wisconsin--Parkside College of Economics, Business and Computing Advisory Board in 2008. He also served as a Board Member of the Racine County Workforce Development Center from 2001-2007.
