At Breezy, I develop, maintain, and support the native mobile iOS and Android apps, as well as the private mobile API and the public API made available to customers. Coding work is done in Swift on iOS, Java and Kotlin on Android, and Node.js on the APIs.In my role, it has been vital for me to communicate well with the rest of the engineering and product management teams to maintain feature parity with the web version of our products, as well as the customer support team to manage issues and feature requests.

Lead developer on intoGo, an iPhone app for finding fun activities and events nearby. I came on as a founding member of the tech team to handle the development of the iPhone version of the app. I worked closely with the CEO, CTO, design and the rest of the team to take the company from concept to shipping app. I personally handled all development of the iOS version from day one. Successfully launched in November 2016 and currently maintains an average 5-star review on the App Store.

Lead developer on SportsYapper for iPhone and iPad, a social media platform for sports conversation. I was brought in to build the currently shipping app from scratch. The app communicates with a custom API via REST. I have been instrumental in every aspect of the iOS app and in my role as Lead Developer, in communication with our other supported front-end platforms (Android and web) and our backend platform development. I work directly with the CEO and CTO on a daily basis, and my team has had up to three developers and a designer.

Formed company to develop Mac and iPhone software. The company mainly focuses on iOS software development and sales, as well as custom iOS contract work. Contract work includes ResuReader, an iPhone app for recruiters that manages job candidates and resumes; eLit, an app for iPad for trade show presentation and lead generation; and Health Care Lane and Briefing Room, both iPad apps for United Healthcare that are used as sales tools. Apps include Conspire, a collaborative whiteboard app for Mac OS; Photo Vault, an iPhone app for keeping sensitive photos locked and separate from your regular Photos app; and S3 Touch, an Amazon S3 uploader for iPhone. Developer on a two to three-person team, working on Marware’s flagship software offering, Project X. Took on ownership of individual aspects of the application, including the PHP web app. Devised and implemented a new licensing scheme that allows Marware to sell the application through our NetSuite ERP system as a downloadable app for the first time. Took ownership of major aspects of the Project X 2.0 redesign launched in January 2010, including design and implementation of the new Flow view and a revamped address book. Coded 90% of Marware’s (unreleased) iPhone app, MagicBall, a customizable Magic 8 Ball style application, relying heavily on Core Animation and the accelerometer.

Provided sales support and technical reference for major government and higher education clients in Florida. Designed, developed, implemented and expanded an internal CRM solution, using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 as a base. Customized CRM to fit business needs; developed custom callouts in C#.Net 1.1 to handle unique business logic concerns. Developed an integration package that relates two incompatible systems: a quoting package with exposed API in VB6 and MS CRM, with exposed Web Services in C#.Net 1.1. Created a client application to run on user’s local desktop that would handle events thrown by the quoting package API and call a corresponding Web Service function to handle insertion of a new entity into the CRM. Completely eliminated the need for double-entry into incompatible systems, thereby increasing user productivity and speeding user adoption.
