I’m currently responsible for installing and maintaining numerous business software applications on distributed client-server systems. These systems are located on-prem servers and AWS cloud environments. For these systems I am the primary technical resource for the business and IT Management. I work with the business departments to learn requirements, schedule deployments, troubleshoot problems. I ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual job processing schedules are met; and when failures occur, I work to get the jobs back on track and determine root cause of the problem. Where necessary, I provide end-user support.Some of the application code bases are maintained in-house. I maintain, update, or write applications in C++, C#, VB.Net, PowerShell, and ASP.Net.In addition, I participate in other technical projects. These projects include migration to new company-wide software (e.g. Win10 migration and testing, Office 365 and Harvest), business rebranding.In between my regular work, Nassau allows me the time to participate in volunteer activities. Tools Plus is a retailer selling tools and related items online and at its retail location. My responsibilitieson this team include:• Work with senior management to develop software solutions that support the company'soperations. Determine system architecture based on management's requirements. All newapplications and systems are developed in C# and use MS SQL Server as a back end for thecompany's data.• Work with outside vendors to develop software solutions. Work with vendor on coding, testingand debugging solution. This project includes a C# MVC application, WebAPI, and a MS SQLserver back end.• Server migration project. My responsibilities on this project included selecting the serverhardware, selecting a virtual machine solution, developing a disaster recovery solution thatintegrates internal and external failover systems. Deploy a virtual storage array. Migrate existingserver applications to the new server. Installed and set up MS SQL Server 2014 into the newsystem.• Implemented a DevOps system which uses Visual Studio Online at its core. ID Mail Systems designs, builds, installs, and then supports a wide variety of mail sorting solutions for customers in North America, South America, and Europe. ID Mail’s niche in the market is developing customized solutions to fit its customer’s specialized needs. My responsibilities on this team include:• Work with Customers and/or ID Mail Staff to develop system requirements for mail sorting systems.• Determine system architecture based on customer's requirements.• Develop new software, or modified/upgrade existing code for the project. • Used Visual Studio and MS Sql Server Management Studio for most development work.
