Business Systems Consultant

Current

Hartford, Connecticut Area

I’m currently responsible for installing and maintaining numerous business software applications on distributed client-server systems. These systems are located on-prem servers and AWS cloud environments. For these systems I am the primary technical resource for the business and IT Management. I work with the business departments to learn requirements, schedule deployments, troubleshoot problems. I ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual job processing schedules are met; and when failures occur, I work to get the jobs back on track and determine root cause of the problem. Where necessary, I provide end-user support. Some of the application code bases are maintained in-house. I maintain, update, or write applications in C++, C#, VB.Net, PowerShell, and ASP.Net.In addition, I participate in other technical projects. These projects include migration to new company-wide software (e.g. Win10 migration and testing, Office 365 and Harvest), business rebranding. In between my regular work, Nassau allows me the time to participate in volunteer activities. I’ve volunteered with the United Way, Red Cross blood drives, Wish School mentoring, and Habitat for Humanity.
