Responsible for Inbound Parts Consolidation centers in Toledo, OH, Portage MI, Charlotte NC and Laredo TX. Coordination of activities at Laredo between carriers, brokers Cross-Dock operator for crossing of both Direct and Consolidation shipments in both north and southbound directions.

Salem, OR

A member of the start-up team for the Salem Regional Distribution Center which opened in January 2011. Responsible for training of 200 new employees and ongoing operation of the Outbound shipping operations.

This was a short term consulting assignment to manage the relocation of a Laptop Service Depot operation. Key responsibilities included: development of the management process and KPI's for the new operator, coordination of packaging and physical movement of the inventory, parts and supplies.

Managed supply chain cost and service performance and collaborated with key customers to implement initiatives that improved service and cost performance. Managed service level performance using key supplier performance metrics and close collaboration with 30 manufacturing plants, 20 DCs and surge warehouses and 3rd party Logistics providers. Utilized SAP.

Responsible for customer service and supply chain for Sam’s, Costco and Smart & Final for North America and Asia. Improved overall customer service levels using supplier performance metrics and periodic reviews with manufacturing plants and 3rd party logistics providers. Managed 26 people with responsibilities for Forecasting, Planning, Deployment, Order.

Supply Chain subject matter expert and primary source for Cost-to-serve data and analytical support for the Business Improvement Teams which delivered over $40.0MM in annual savings across four key areas: Product mix/Manufacturing, Price/Merchandising, Demand Management/S&OP and Cost-To-Serve. The BIP team formed 10 breakthrough or study teams in each.

Managed supply chain cost and service performance for the Commercial & Dixie Food Service business (annual logistics spend - $90.0MM). Developed and implemented the Distribution Strategy which impacted SKU sourcing, network design and DC stocking plans, product mix offerings by region, customer order policies and product packaging conformance to GMA.

Managed product supply and supply chain cost and service for key customers including Safeway, Kroger, Target, Smart & Final, Unified Western Grocers and SUPERVALU. In this role I managed four Distribution and Supply Coordinators who implemented supply chain improvements with customers.
