A passionate, dedicated and internationally exposed HR professional, with a 20-year career background applying a plethora of skills to support independent businesses and a multinational organisation. From HR policy and process implementation through to staff training and development , my demonstrative career has seen me deliver high standards of work alongside current advice and guidance in the HR arena.I pride myself on being a highly trusted confidant and this alone has meant staff have been comfortable to approach me on a range of issues. Commercially minded, I maintain a broad understanding of strategic, consulting, generalist and operational HR practices, ensuring a pragmatic, influential and hands-on approach. I have covered a network of stores to drive results and coached management personnel to turnaround under-performance. My wholesome career has seen me accumulate numerous achievements, some of which include:- Successfully implemented HR polices for 170 employees; covering a range of areas, including Training and Development and absence management- Selected from over 657 stores in the UK for international secondment; relocated to USA for 4 months to lead recruitment of new business in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Las Vegas- Positively led the working lives and structure for over 400 employees; collaborated with multiple Store Managers and their management teams, providing ongoing support, ensuring HR systems were maintained and aligned with all legal obligations- Successfully set up a training department for 450 employees; placed training at the heart of the store and appointed formal Departmental Trainers to support deliveryIn my spare time, I like to indulge in reading, the gym and ballroom dancing, in addition to playing musical instruments; an ongoing passion from employment as a Musician in the British Army.In summary, I am looking to improve my networks and secure a new work opportunity.
