Defining and implementing the strategy for the design and delivery of state-of-the-art show construction and attraction technology for theme parks and resorts are my areas of professional expertise. Along with my master’s degree in electrical engineering, with specializations in robotics and digital signal processing, I am best known for my engineering “wizardry” to innovate fresh ideas to ensure a competitive advantage. Amassing an extensive record of success, I have worked on complex electromechanical and audio-video systems with creative designers, engineers, and production teams to deliver innovative technologies in the themed, experiential entertainment industry. Most proud of leading the development of the world’s first Virtual Reality theme park attraction, Virtual Adventures, I worked for Iwerks Entertainment. Another notable project was the expansion of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, where I spent two years adding eight attractions to the world’s largest theme park under a single roof. As a forward-thinking entertainment engineer, I have managed the design, fabrication, and commissioning of complicated electromechanical systems with complex control systems, audio visual and projection systems, autonomous functions, and human interactivity. In addition to theme park attractions, I have worked on interactive science centers, training simulators, data center infrastructure, and medical equipment.I credit my success over the years to the talented professionals I have worked with at world-class companies, including AT&T Bell Laboratories, Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Studios, Sony, Silicon Graphics, Electronic Arts, Intel, Stanford University Medical School, and General Dynamics.Currently, serving as Director of Control Systems & Advanced Technologies at ITEC Entertainment, I have built up an engineering team responsible for some of the most complicated attractions in the industry. My executive experience has centered on creating theme parks and attractions, which has inspired me to work worldwide in the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.I feel fortunate that I have been doing what I am passionate about for my entire career: creating experiential entertainment systems.
