About Mike Haley

At my core I am a technologist, having started with computer graphics early on in my career and now having spent the last 10 years deeply immersed in AI. I lead Autodesk Research, an international multi-discipline research organization, focused on bringing technology to the future of how everything is designed and made. We sit at the intersection of technology and creativity which is where I feel most at home. For the past 10 years I have built and led our AI efforts at Autodesk, including the creation of our AI Lab and more recently heading our company wide efforts in Generative AI. All of this is based on ground breaking research results our AI Lab and other Autodesk experts have produced over the last 10 years. I am an energetic technical leader with the ability to operate at all levels of a company, driving technology strategy, researching new technologies, establishing strategic visions and speaking broadly on all of these topics. I am deeply passionate about creating a better world through technology while applying ethical and human centric leadership.

Senior Vice President, Research & Generative Ai Lead
    Autodesk Jun 2023 - Present
    San Francisco, Ca, Us
I'm honored to lead a world-class research group here at Autodesk, helping uncover ways that new technologies can transform how our customers design and make the world around us while responding to challenging concerns like climate-change, automation and industry convergence. Autodesk Research's approach is unique, exploring technologies and solutions (AI, robotics, simulation, optimization, human-computer-interaction, immersive environments and more) but then going beyond that by deeply engaging with customers and creating environments where partners can tangibly leverage these future design and make technologies together with us. Our strategic foresight function provides broad and long-range analysis of signals and shifts in the world that inform our corporate and research strategies. By bringing all these functions together in one organization we help Autodesk and our customers realize a preferrable future by introducing disruptive technologies into our products, by identifying new opportunities for Autodesk and by providing thought leadership to the industries we serve and partner with.Currently, I am also leading our efforts in Generative AI across Autodesk.
