I am an experienced Board Member and former CEO with a strong track record in leading private and public companies within the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. My expertise spans corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, corporate communications, investor relations, and both clinical and commercial development.After earning my MBA, I launched my career in Silicon Valley as a financial analyst in treasury operations. I later became CFO of Vestar, one of the early public biotechnology companies. Over the course of 20+ years in executive roles, I co-led two successful IPOs, managed multiple follow-on financings, including private placements, and oversaw international operations.One of my key achievements was leading the $95 million merger between Vestar and NeXagen, creating NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, a company with over $120 million in global revenues. I also led NeXstar’s acquisition by Gilead Sciences for $550 million, cementing its position as a major player in the industry.As CFO and later CEO of Allos Therapeutics, I directed a successful $90 million IPO and raised an additional $80 million in follow-on capital. During my tenure, Allos expanded from 15 to 100 employees to support its oncology drug development initiatives. Following this, I served as COO of Bolder Biotechnology, specializing in protein engineering.Upon stepping back from full-time industry roles, I established a consulting practice focused on executive advisory services and board leadership. I also co-founded ClearMind Advisors, an executive leadership and management consulting firm.
