The Enterprise Business Solution leads our Software Engineers with-in our IT Department providing strategic direction, project management, technical leadership, and system support. I am working as an Infrastructure Project Manager to assist SCJ key projects to completion. I plan the projects using MS Project (PWA). Then, work with the team to drive completion, while working through risk and issues. I share status to stakeholders and Steering Committee including the latest budget forecast. Below are some project I have lead. Joint VentureAs part of the business expansion plan, SCJ has decided to become a secondary investor in region. The team will provide the ability for Email, O365, One drive, SharePoint, access management, virtual Computers, printing, scanning, large file transfer, an office move, and help desk support, as well as application SAP (APO, PLM, BPC, EDI) Concur, Tibco, BW.SDWANThe SDWAN is a global project designed to lower cost of the SCJ network. We established key manufacturing, sales, warehouse, and offices by tier. Then we created shared key contact information and site needs (TEV). Verizon established the circuits that we ordered (WAN) and we worked with Verizon to do site activation with our change management and security team for Z-scaler. The overall cost savings for SCJ is 2 million dollars annually because the SDWAN leverages faster cheaper networks than previously installed. Trade Promotion Management (TPM) Infrastructure ProjectThe TPM software is a global and sustainable TPM operating model providing the ability to plan, manage, and control roughly 2.7 billion dollars in trades and promotions. I was responsible for leading a global team to build a Microsoft Azure cloud environment including lower levels, production, and disaster recovery. The team configured BASIS activities and integration to multiple applications (SAP, Informatica, Trade Promotions Optimization, Load runner, Rev Trac, SAP Portal, Signal FX). We installed Update Manager in Azure to manage automated patching.

I am responsible for the managing key SKU Rationalization Projects. Our goal is to determine what SKU are used less and maximize the value of the remaining SKUs. We review our findings with the business and determine, which are good candidates for removal or price changes. SKU Rationalization ProgramThe SKU Rationalization program provided the business away to look at the SKUs in their portfolio and determine which SKUs can be removed, repriced, or consolidated based on analysis. I am responsible for leading a global team to determine areas of Sku Rationalization improvement using data analytics and a playbook. I was responsible for project delivery from initiation to close. This includes closely forecasting financial budgets, risks, issues, while executing on the plans. The desired outcome is 3 million dollar savings for the business unit.

SQL Server 2006 to 2014 upgradeReduce risk of a major dependency of over half the companies’ data that was on a 2006 SQL server. Lead a core team eight people with an 800,000 dollar budget. We identified the key flows of data to applications, reports, and systems. We established a plan to switch our main integrations (SSIS) to point to the new 2014 database. We created a very robust testing strategy and incorporated some automated testing. We were also able to do performance testing and monitoring given the new database capabilities.

Created a plan and budget for these projects. Established a new team and use an iterative approach. Managing daily tasks of a 40+ person team that is tasked to add IS functionality for (Pick, Unit Sort, Pack , and Ship) the warehouse. We are adding in Labor Management and slotting capabilities to increase system efficiency. Also, we are verifying quality through emulation testing and a solid criteria based plan.eFulfillment Center Logistics Automation - Project ManagerLeading the IT effort for adding automation (unit sorter and conveyor) to E-fulfillment Center. My role as an Infrastructure Architect is to set standards, select tools, teach others, support common system frameworks, research new technologies, and create common enterprise components. I developed a curriculum and community for Kohl’s users for a java persistence layer called Hibernate. The process to rollout and educate Kohl’s programmers includes: base examples of code, creating and giving presentations of the benefits and how to use Hibernate, supporting Hibernate users’ questions and initial set up. I also developed a community of users at Kohl’s around design patterns. The goal is to teach people the benefits and how to use design patterns in their code.

Projects Extranet Administration and Engine Specification SystemI served as the technical lead of a web application Administration System. This application is used by the help desk to tie internal user IDs with external user IDs to allow permission to view reports. I designed the system with Object Oriented techniques, utilized UML, estimated change requests, prototyped, conducted code reviews, completed data modeling and advised on technical architecture. The java framework is called Struts, which is a model-view-control (MVC) from the Apache Jakarta projects. I gave multiple presentations about Java Frameworks to colleagues and graduate students at a local university.

I worked as the technical project lead for a project for Appleton Papers. We created a website to display the company’s products, new ideas, company description, shopping cart, contact us, and customer service.

I started as an Intern in Deposit Conversion. I was hired on as a Remote Programmer, setup communications to send data between banks and corporate office via integration jobs. I was promoted to team lead. I then moved to a different group in the company as web developer to create an online mortage application site.
