Established Pacific Automotive Supply as a wholesale distributor of auto parts for primarily import makes to the Portland Oregon Metro market.Pacific Automotive Supply was acquired by Worldwide Trading Co which later became WORLDPAC Inc. and was the foundation of WORLDPAC's current Portland business and warehouse.WORLDPAC's current hub and spoke supply chain system was established at Pacific Automotive Supply.Pacific Automotive became part of the foundation of WORLDPAC which also included World Wide Trading Co and IMPAC.

Managed the information technology department for the company which later became the foundation of WORLDPAC Inc., an Advance Auto Parts company.During this time key initiatives included: - Designed and built the Automotive industry's first electronic auto parts catalog - Upgraded the distribution system to the platform still utilized by WORLDPAC Inc. to this day - Developed the supply chain planning systems to support DCs and replenishment of warehouses - Developed an automated Delivery Management System to support local delivery and hub & spoke

Responsibilities included global sourcing from Europe, inventory management, negotiation, purchasing, product development and management, pricing, and application cataloging.In the early days of the import automotive aftermarket, purchasing agents and managers wore many hats. As a result, they were exposed to every facet of product merchandising and life-cycle management including category management, product assortment selection, product establishment, brand selection, negotiation, inventory management, purchasing, expediting, container importing, US Customs, currency, application cataloging (printing back then), setting selling prices, and marketing.Today, there would be 10 or more different people or departments covering all of these responsibilities.
