I have always had a passion for journalism. Starting with the writing courses I took in high school, to my undergraduate degree I earned in broadcast communications, my professional ambition always has been to cover local, national and international events. After graduating from college, I started in small markets, worked my way up to a large market and eventually to the network level at AP Radio. I've been at the AP for 17 years, and as supervisor I'm in a leadership position. I’m a graduate of the AP Mentor Program and I have an MBA. I directed AP Radio’s Murrow Award-winning Breaking News Coverage of the Miracle on the Hudson story. Also, I was the first within the AP to know about both the Colorado theater shootings and the gulf oil spill story, resulting in full coverage by the company’s other platforms. I'm seeking a leadership position leveraging my managerial background, education and technical training.
