As a leader in the industry with almost 30 years of experience in hospitality, I have progressively worked my way from a desk clerk earning a little pizza money in college in the 80s to AGM, and GM of progressively larger and higher revenue hotels in key destination markets like Hilton Head and Charleston, SC and key Southern corporate markets of Durham and Raleigh, NC. While on the franchisee side, I became known as a trouble-shooter and was sent to under-performing hotels and turned them into award winning products that set revenue records. After progressing to the role of Regional GM overseeing several hotels, I took the jump to the "corporate" side and went to work Choice Hotels, where my experience in identifying revenue, product and service opportunities and developing strategies to turn them around has proved invaluable. While the positions I have held with Choice have evolved from a largely Quality Assurance role to one more focused on revenue growth and profitability, my unique skill set, experience, and background has led to being a trusted advisor to my portfolio of 60+ hotels and a role model and mentor to my peers. The numerous awards that I have collected from Choice over the last 13 years for my efforts and financial results demonstrate the consistent and ongoing value that my performance has brought to my company.
