I serve the ten schools that make up Evergreen Catholic Separate School Division, and my duties include regular classroom presentations to students grades 4-12, retreats for students grades 7-12, planning school liturgies, facilitating Bible studies, and ongoing faith related support to staff and students as needed.

From time to time I am invited to speak, lead a retreat, or serve as a music minister in a variety of settings outside my work in the parish and the schools. I write a column for grandinmedia.ca, and have a variety of older articles I've posted at mikeisthird.com. My goal is to bring the beauty of our Catholic Christian faith to life using all the gifts God has given me - speaking, writing, and singing - challenging people to put God first, themselves second, and their neighbor third.

Though I've been playing music in Church since 1996, I had the privilege of leading Anaphora Music Ministry from 2005-2014. This gave me the opportunity to serve with some amazing musicians (and better people). We released "Anaphora Live" in the fall of 2013, a collection of songs recorded at the Catholic Family Life Conference and "St. Peter Sessions" in the spring of 2019 (songs that had been recorded before we disbanded in 2014).

Worked on an incredible staff running a summer camp for youth 10+. Got paid to live on a lake & talk about Jesus all summer. Who can argue with that?
