My role is built around collaborating with executive teams, and taking ideas through to development teams. I provide guidance during sprint activities, help in designing new UX features, and facilitate user-research programming. Some of the key areas I focus on as a PM:Providing a high level strategic vision:- Defining the product vision and strategy based on market research, customer feedback, and company goals.- Developing and maintaining a product roadmap that aligns with the business objectives.Prioritize features and enhancements based on impact, feasibility, and market demand.Leading Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure the successful development of our software solutions.- Facilitating communication between teams, ensuring everyone has the information needed to execute their tasks.- Acting as a liaison between the technical team and business stakeholders, translating technical details into business implications and vice versa.Empowering Customer-Centric Product Development- Gathering and analyze customer feedback to identify pain points, needs, and opportunities for improvement.- Conducting user research, surveys, and usability testing to ensure the product meets the target audience's needs.- Advocating for the end-user during all stages of product development, ensuring a user-centric approach.

Our team has been hard at work building the next version of ENVISION; Environics Analytics industry-leading geodemography software. This role requires me to use a diverse skillset, some highlights;Product and User Research:- Evaluating the existing version of the ENVISION software, and identifying areas of UX/UI improvement.- Understanding the WHY - Diving deep into the minds of our current user base, learning about their specific needs, and shortcomings of the current application. We use this information to help carefully curate our user personas.Visual Design:- Responsible for taking user stories from concept to high-fidelity design, using informed decision making based on our user personas and industry specific research.- Collaborating with fellow designers and product managers to work through user story details and design versioning.Organization and Project related skills- Working closely with design adjacent teams through weekly sprint activities, sprint planning sessions and backlog grooming.- Participating in weekly Agile activities with full-stack development and QA teams- Ensuring my screen designs go through a fluid workflow within sprint timeframes; from Azure User Stories > Figma Designs > Final high fidelity screens in Zeplin.

A creative role managing the data and software content. My tenure was split between project and people management. Responsibilities included:- Project management: Team leader for coordinated Data releases between Product Management/Client Services/Software development teams, specifically responsible for scoping out content related requirements.- People management: Managed SAAS resource content rollout aligned with quarterly data updates, managing workloads and scoping out projects.- Critical thinking: Building the framework and workflows for static and dynamic support resources alongside new software development projects.

My first "real job" outside of University, I supported clients with solutions for their business and analytics needs. This role involved the following:- Guiding clients through data interpretation and navigation through Environics' ENVISION software.- Owning and managing tickets through Zendesk,- Building monthly data reporting metrics on ticket frequency and theme to help inform decisions making processing with the broader Client success team- Participate in user acceptance testing for new data productsThis was a great entry level role - I was able to build out different problem solving, communication and collaborative skillsets. The Support role allowed me to learn a lot about what Environics does at it's core an how clients are using our products and data.
