From 2007-'09, Mike was awarded Bronze Recruiter Award, by GAMA.Mike was approached by F500 company, Rite Aid, a client, and offered the Corporate Recruiter position. Mike began working on recruiting and talent identification for corporate-based positions for one of the largest retail drug chain companies. Besides recruiting and hiring, other HR tasks included retention, employee appreciation and dismissal. Within his first 90 days, Mike successfully hired 52 new associates.In 1998, Mike joined Hoskins-Hains, a professional employment agency, based in Harrisburg, PA. He apprenticed with Patti Hoskins, an industry leader in IT Recruiting. Mike was promoted to lead Recruiting in Logistics, Engineering and IT. He initially spent months establishing relationships with top companies in the area. By years end, his team placed 31 individuals and generated over $520k. Mike continued to learn all aspects of the business including management. Due to the events of 9/11 business began to see a significant downturn. The staff held strong but ultimately downsizing in staff occurred. Mike took over more responsibilities. Hoskins-Hains began to see a return to profit by year-end 2002. In Spring 2003, an offer to purchase the business was accepted.
