Mike is an accomplished supply chain executive with over 35 years of performance results. With deep knowledge of the retail, wholesale and e-commerce / Omni –Channel supply chain channels. Mike has driven operational transformations that have resulted in improved service KPI’s, expanded network capacity and reduced costs both domestically and internationally in the apparel, footwear and consumer product industries. Mike has lead the Supply Chain at Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis Salant, Jones Apparel Group, Nine West and Brown Shoe. During his tenure he has contributed to operationally excellence through construction of greenfield design and construction of highly automated distribution centers, network rationalization, improved freight performance, Manhattan Associates WM / SAP implementations, e-commerce support, KPI implementations and executive development. Additionally, Mike has established extensive 3PL networks in Asia, Europe and domestically to support organizational growth, reduce freight costs and improve service.Since 2013 Mike has been a consultant in the consumer product and footwear/apparel industry. Engaged to facilitate an establishment of a Supply Chain organization as Post Holdings moved from a Transitional Service Agreement with ConAgra and to optimize or identify opportunities across the Post Holdings portfolio for all Supply Chain functions. The company has expanded through acquisitions from a $1.5 billion company to a $8.0 billion company in this time frame. Reporting to the SVP Supply Chain and presenting to the Executive Team on potential synergies, consolidation / rationalization opportunities and long term supply chain strategies. Originally engaged on a 3 month contract that has been extended for over 4 years. • Led Post Foods in all aspects of opening four, 300,000 square foot distribution centers across the United States. Responsibilities on this project included RFP proposal, 3PL vendor selection, contract negotiations, site selections, facility start up and cost and service stabilization.• Provided due diligence and analysis of multiple acquisitions ranging from $50.0 million to $1.5 billion acquisitions. Companies acquired include Malt O’ Meal and Michaels Foods.• Provide analysis and recommendations to Executive Team for longer term supply chain strategies.

Managed all supply chain activities, including distribution, 3PL partners, import traffic, ocean contracts, parcel contracts, freight consolidation, customer service, order entry, and allocations for a $2.9 billion leading wholesaler and 1300 store retailer of footwear and accessories. Direct reports included multiple Distribution VPs, Director of 3PL and Import Traffic, VP of Customer Service and VP of Non-Trade Procurement. The Distribution Network consisted of 700 associates at 5 locations shipping annually 80 million pairs of shoes. • Closed 3 distribution centers with a combined 2.0 million square feet resulting in a reduction in distribution expenses of $9 million annually and obtaining inbound freight costs savings of an additional $3 million annually. • Served as executive steering team member for the 2011 implementation of SAP AFS. • Implemented Manhattan Associates 2012 WM at 3PL partner, enhancing DC functionality to support Direct to Consumer shipping and the increased need for pick / pack requirements from the retail community.• Implemented labor management in the wholesale and retail network improving productivity by over 15%, reducing DC labor by $1.6 million.• Negotiated new parcel contract in 2012 that saved $1.8 million annually with FedEx.• Established Shanghai freight consolidator to support the movement of factories to the North and West in China, resulting in inbound freight reductions of $ 700,000 and reduced inbound transit time by 2 days.• Brought Shoes.com from outsourced fulfillment to in-house fulfillment, saving $1 million annually.• Expanded utilization of the highly automated retail distribution network to support specialty stores, which reduced costs in labor and freight by $1.2 million annually.• Developed and supported Omni-channel initiatives utilizing optimization software to direct orders to DC’s or Famous Footwear stores, that improved speed to the customer and reduced parcel freight cost.

Managed all supply chain activities including compliance, import traffic, domestic freight, 3PL, E-Commerce and distribution operations, for a $4.5 billion leading wholesaler of footwear and apparel, reporting directly to the COO. Direct reports include multiple Distribution VPs, VP of Security, Senior Vice President of Compliance/ Import Traffic and VP of Engineering. The distribution center network exceeded 4 million square feet and over 2500 associates with shipments in excess of 250 million units annually. • Reduced distribution expenses by $45 million (40%) through consolidation of locations (19 to 8), automation and reduction of indirect overhead.• Implemented Manhattan and Associates PKMS / WM solutions, in all apparel divisions, as well as coordinated the successful evaluation and integration of SAP throughout the apparel divisions that contributed to the reduction of distribution centers and saved $45 million annually. • Served as a member of Executive Steering committee charged with overseeing the development of corporate goals, IS infrastructure, and operational strategies.• Managed multiple start up facilities from site selection and construction to operational execution. • Initiated the use and selection process of 3PL logistics providers to reduce freight costs, improve speed to store and lower distribution expenses. • Achieved tier III C-TPAT compliance level with US Customs through broad scoped implementation plan from factories through Distribution Centers. Responsible for all distribution and transportation strategies for a $500 million multi-divisional wholesaler. Divisions included Perry Ellis, Manhattan Shirt, Thompson Pant, children’s labels as well as neckwear and accessories divisions. The position reported to the CFO and direct reports included Directors of Distribution, Director of Traffic and the Customer Service / Allocation manager.• Reduced overall distribution expenses by $4 million annually through consolidation of DCs, implementation of Manhattan Associates PKMS / WM, increased automation, implementation of productivity standards and renegotiated labor contracts.

Responsible for multi-site fulfillment and call center operation, with over 500,000 square foot of distribution and over 400 distribution center and call center associates, operating 18 hours / day, 7 days / week.
