I am currently working in - and enjoying - an extremely demanding operational role within the emergency healthcare sector. Taking on this role resulted from my enthusiasm as a voluntary emergency responder (www.lives.org.uk), and the need for a full-time supplement to my micro-business income during the early years of my young family.Following promotion within the Ambulance Control centre, I have stopped undertaking chargeable IT-related work, concentrating instead on the growing complexity of the 'day job'. I remain a fan of technology in general, and an advocate of well-designed and considered solutions to problems. I regularly undertake unpaid support tasks to maintain my level of familiarity with home and small business technology.Specialties: Strong previous experience of Business Analysis, system and process troubleshooting (within a telco billing environment), and bringing together technical and business people to achieve project and operational goals.My current role has sharpened my ability to make - and be able to justify - highly rapid operational decisions, maintaining a personable and reasonable dispatch style, with unflappable calmness at times of extreme demand and rapidly changing and conflicting priorities.
