I am an exploration geologist with +20 years of experience working for state and federal government and the private sector with experience in metallic and industrial mineral deposits.My education and career have focused on exploration, development, and mining of base metals including porphyry copper, IOCG, and various sediment-hosted base metal systems. In this capacity I have had experience with running an exploration company, project management, conducting academic research, laboratory setup/management, geological fieldwork, exploration design and program management, liaising with consultants, and training of personnel.My strongest personal qualities are integrity, honesty, and my ability to work well with others including those in different positions and professions. I'm a "big picture/outside-the-box" thinker who prefers to be involved in multiple project aspects where I can learn new things and bring novel insight to the projects I become involved with. I enjoy learning from those I work with, and am keenly interested in training and sharing my experiences with the fresh generation of Geoscientists entering and fidning their niche in the field.I am currently conducting research for a PhD centered on possible vectors to porphyry Cu (and related magmatic-hydrothermal) deposits hosted in the carbonate rock environment. The goal of my research is to evaluate potential exploration vectors toward concealed deposits based on mineral and isotope geochemistry. I am also engaged in miscellaneous consulting work through my company, Golden Copper Ltd., and am always keen to utliize my skills on new projects.
