I’m an environmental scientist, so I may surprise some people when I say my career has focused on customer service, particularly being able to efficiently navigate my clients’ projects through complex environmental permitting processes. Thanks to more than two decades’ experience and hundreds of projects, I’m an expert on the intricacies of Maryland’s Joint Federal/State Wetland Permit Process as well as the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area regulations and various county requirements. My projects move efficiently and successfully through the regulatory process due to my experience and the open channels of communication I’ve developed with regulatory staff. I maintain a high standard for my work, a fact to which I’m sure my long list of satisfied clients can attest. My experience stretches beyond delineation and permitting. In fact, I designed, managed the construction of, and performed annual monitoring for the 85 acre Port Tobacco Consolidated Wetland Mitigation Site. I’m also a Maryland Forest Conservation Act Qualified Professional because my projects often demand expertise in this area of our state’s land stewardship initiatives. I began my career as wildlife biologist working for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. After two years there I spent the next 17 with a consulting firm in Maryland. In 2010, I launched a successful consulting firm: Klebasko Environmental, LLC. I decided to join Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI), the gold standard of environmental consulting firms, in 2014. WSSI is headquartered in Virginia, and I manage the Maryland Office's Environmental Sciences division. WSSI offers a comprehensive menu of services, including Wetland & Stream Delineation; Clean Water Act Permitting; Tree Assessments, Inventories, & Plans; Civil & Water Resource Engineering; Stream & Wetland Restoration; Surveying; LID Consultation; Cultural Resources; GIS/Mapping; Ecosystem Management; Erosion & Sediment Control; and Permit Compliance.
