Dr. Mike Kuron is a Partner at Veryst Engineering. I manage all technical engagements between ANSYS and one of our largest customers in the aerospace and defense industry. I am responsible for leading strategy development and technical collaboration between engineering organizations in support of our customers key business initiatives. In this role I provided technical leadership to enhance customer adoption and success with ANSYS simulation software tools through the execution of strategic consulting projects, mentoring, and workflow customization. As the CFD Manager I oversee all CFD activities at CAE Associates, including consulting, training, and software sales. My responsibilities include performing and managing computational fluid dynamics, structural, and thermal consulting projects across a wide range of applications. I have successfully helped our customers improve and validate their designs, including the CFD and/or structural analysis of:- An innovative Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) jet design- A new slurry pump, including the prediction of component erosion rates using CFD- Subsea electronics enclosure thermal performance and component temperature prediction with detailed PCB modeling- Industrial mixers for the pharmaceutical and process industries- Mechanical performance of a static mixer in a natural gas pipeline with detailed weld fatigue analysis- Nuclear power plant structural design and evaluation- Nuclear transport thermal design including conjugate heat transfer CFD analyses- Fluid-structure interaction analysis of the flutter mechanism of a racing yacht keel

As a Project Manager at CAE Associates, my responsibilities included performing and managing computational fluid dynamics, structural, and thermal consulting projects across a wide range of applications. Additionally, I provided technical support and training for the full suite of ANSYS Mechanical and CFD products to our customers to help them become more efficient and effective analysts.
