I have 29 years of experience in the SBA lending industry, utilizing both SBA 7(a) and 504 loans. This includes marketing, origination, credit underwriting, and loan workout experience. I am the Chief Credit Officer for InterMountain Business Lending, Inc. I oversee all credit within the company and also assist with underwriting of all SBA 504 loans originated by IMBL. I work directly with our underwriters, loan officers, processors, and the U.S. Small Business Administration Sacramento Loan Processing Center. I also oversee the processing and submission of complex servicing actions for our customers which includes extensive interaction with the Small Business Administration Fresno Loan Servicing Center.SBA 504 lending finances long-term, fixed assets being acquired by a business which are typically real estate and long-life equipment. The loan is done in conjunction with a lender (bank, credit union, etc.) and Utah CDC participates in the transaction. Typical SBA 504 structure includes a 50% from the lender in a 1st trust deed position; a 40% loan from the CDC in a 2nd trust deed position; and a 10% borrower contribution.
