Course-Source was a multi-award winning technology led learning company. It developed its own learning management system which was at the heart of the largest e-learning project in Europe to deliver basic IT skills to the NHS as part of the NHS IT modernisation programme.Also provided the Virtual Learning Environment to corporate companies and to content providers who needed a stong delivery platform for their e-learning content.

Company director reporting at board level responsible for the business development and strategic implementation across all functions. Helped raise £4.5m from a (at the time) FTSE 100 company. Whilst we were not successful in becoming the market leader, i learnt a lot about technology-led businesses from all perspectives including customer service, marketing, and technology implementation.

As a director and then as Managing Director helped to grow World Challenge from £300K to £8m prior to its subsequent sale to a major PLC. Full P&L responsibility. Helped transition the business from a single product portfolio in one niche segment to a multi-product portfolio in multiple market segments.

Had a great time sailing 6 of the 7 seas with the odd skirmish thrown in for a bit of balance.
