I was hired to work hand-and-hand with the Public Relations team and help with various day-to-day tasks. The responsibilities that I was given were:-Writing press releases-Filtering through fighter interviews to find quotes for columnists to use-Facilitating phone interviews with fighters and the press such as ESPN, USA Today, Yahoo! and Fox- Calling major news affiliates in cities where events were being held to insure that we would get coverage on the press day and weigh in- Calling major news outlets and publications in selected cities to get coverage on local fighters-Putting together press kitsHighlights:- Was able to successfully get news coverage for UFC 166 press day in Houston while competing with the Houston Texans press day-Contacted KATU-TV in Portland about local fighter ,Pat Healy, and got enough interest circulated about him enough to obtain approval to send cameras out to his local gym day for their sports segment- Was given the task of finding props for a photo shoot involving UFC legend, Forest Griffin, with a very slim budget. Not only was I able to successfully obtain the props, but I worked it out so that is was cost free
