I have over 25 years financial advisory experience, including many years spent undertaking valuations of businesses, shares, intellectual property and quantifying financial losses. I also undertake investigations involving fraud and financial crime.I have provided expert evidence for the courts and in other dispute resolution forums such as arbitration, mediation and expert determinations both across NZ and overseas. I am listed in Who's Who Legal for Economic (Quantum), Forensic Investigations and Litigation Consulting.I am regularly approached to act on matters involving shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, relationship property, regulatory matters (for both regulators and corporates) and other contentious matters where quantum needs to be determined. I typically work alongside law firms, barristers and their clients and other accountants in trying to reach pragmatic settlements where possible, but being prepared to go the distance if things do not settle.I’m a Chartered Accountant, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ) and hold a Public Practice Certificate. I am a previous Chair of the CAANZ Forensic Accounting Special Interest Group. I am a contributing member of the Auckland District Law Society and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.I have presented training on business valuation, assessment of loss and other related topics to accountants and lawyers.
