Mike MacConnell is a conflict mediator, communication coach, author, and the highest ranked GTA mediator on Google, with over 100 5-star reviews. A former professor of Family Mediation at Humber College, he is certified by the OAFM (Ontario Association of Family Mediators), the ADRIO (Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario), the Sarana Institute, Mindfulness Without Borders (MWB) and the OCT (Ontario College of Teachers). He founded a private high school (SOLA – School Of Liberal Arts) in 1989 because he believed there was a better way to educate teenagers, one that combined greater intellectual stimulation with emotional support and personal accountability. Twenty years later he was inspired to become a mediator and conflict management coach. He believes adults and youth can learn a better way to resolve conflict, one that reaches agreement efficiently by seeking results respectful to both sides.
