As the first marketing, sales and operations vice president for the Midwest Division, my primary focus was identifying, developing and implementing new services to compete more effectively in the ever evolving post acute care and senior housing environment. In addition to my strategic business development responsibilities, I also functioned as an internal leader for corporate operations, mentoring departmental strategic planning and process improvement projects. Revenue increased in 14 facilities in 2016 and 2017, and short term post-acute occupancy increased for the company every single year since 2014. I led the tripling of Medicare and Managed Care census in two focus facilities in 2017. Revenue and census climbed every single month in 2019, and January 2020 saw the highest census since 2014. I also negotiate all partnership contracts for the company, which include medical directors, practitioners, Accountable Care Organizations and clinical support providers.

As the first business development executive and second vice president overall for the company, I designed and managed a department of 40 people. I developed a strategic business plan for the entire company and for each business unit, which includes multiples levels of skilled nursing and rehab care, supportive living, and assisted living. I assisted in the identification and viability of future markets and deals by assessing and analyzing the project and market, which includes developing the sales team, communicating the brand change to the customers and public, and quickly assessing the revenue challenges and needs. I drove the brand transformation of six acquisitions in 2014, increasing revenue in each. I led a team to develop four distinct new brands for Legacy, as well as the Legacy brand itself.
